Intercultural Summer University

 

The Summer University for Intercultural German Studies takes place every year. It gives students of Intercultural German Studies/German as a Foreign Language the opportunity to put their academic knowledge to the test.

In co-operation with experienced German teachers, the students are able to have their first teaching experiences. It is also possible to gain insight into project management through assistant jobs with the organisation of the Summer University.  

 

 

Intercultural German Language Courses

 

In co-operation with the University of Bayreuth, the IIK Bayreuth runs German language courses for international students and scientists at Basic, Medium and Upper Levels.

 

 

Exam Preparation Courses DSH/TestDaF

 

This DSH course prepares foreign study applicants for the required DSH admittance exam at Bayreuth University. 

 

The IIK Bayreuth co-operates with the TestDaF Institute. Therefore interested students are able to sit the TestDaF Exam and practice various exam components with us in a specialised course.

 

 

Advising and Mentoring International Students

 

The IIK Bayreuth advises foreign students and applicants in all issues concerning language exams, study courses and visa issues. It is also important to us to assist students in every-day matters.

The IIK Bayreuth organises TestDaF Exams which take place every four months. For further information click here.

 

 

Teaching (Further Training)

 

The Institute prepares foreign study applicants for the DSH or TestDaF Exams in preparation courses. Regarding further training of students and lecturers, the Institute contractually co-operates with several universities abroad, such as Gakushuin University in Tokyo, Tsukuba University, and the University of Pescara. Working together with several organisations, the Institute regularly runs the following programmes with the department of German as a Foreign Language (Intercultural German Studies) and other departments:

  • Summer University for Intercultural German Studies (in August & September)

 

  • Study Abroad Programme
