Accommodation

 

Accommodation costs 250 € per month. Please inform us on your registration form if you need accommodation. You can find more information regarding accommodation here.

 

Weekend Excursions

 

On Saturdays, we offer excursions to the following cities at the prices below (may change):

 

August:                 Bamberg ca. 20 €, Dresden ca. 25 €, Leipzig ca. 25 €

September:         Rothenburg ob der Tauber ca. 20 €, Weimar ca. 20 €

 

Health and Liability Insurance

 

A valid health insurance is mandatory for attending the summer uni courses. The Bayreuth Summer University is unable to cover the costs in the event of illness or damage.

The course fees do not include insurance!

Banking charges and transfer fees are at the attendee's expense.

On the day of your arrival, traveller's cheques will be accepted (plus fees).

EC or credit cards cannot be used for payment.  

 

Deadlines

 

Registration for all courses ends on June 30, 2012. By this date, all fees must also be paid. If you withdraw before the start of the summer university, fees already paid will be refunded.

Exception: If you withdraw after July 15th, a 100 € cancellation fee and the accommodation costs will be retained.

 

 

Grants

The Bayreuth Summer University co-operates closely with the "German Academic Exchange Service" (DAAD) and BAYHOST.

 

The DAAD awards university summer course grants for attendees from all countries. Application deadlines and admission requirements vary according to country of origin and can be found on the website of the DAAD.

 

Students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia and the Ukraine can also apply for a BAYHOST scholarship. Click here for more information.

 

The Bayreuth Summer University cannot award its own grants. However, we gladly assist and advise you with the application for a grant. For more information regarding grants click here.
