These deal with the political and social system, the regional and cultural diversity of the Federal Republic of Germany and everyday culture in Germany.
The objectives of this course

Learners can understand the main ideas of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics. They also grasp specialist discussions in their own area of expertise. Furthermore, they are able to communicate spontaneously and fluently. Thus, a normal conversation with native speakers is possible without much effort on both sides. Learners can express themselves clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics. They are also able to explain a point of view on a current issue and state the advantages and disadvantages of different options.
