The objective of our intensive language courses is to enable the students to express themselves appropriately in the foreign language; this entails grammatical correctness as well as cultural sensitivity.
The intercultural intensive language and communication courses include not only practical language teaching sequences but also topic-oriented teaching units on regional studies. These deal with the political and social system, the regional and cultural diversity of the Federal Republic of Germany and everyday culture in Germany.
The lecturers at the IIK Bayreuth are professionally trained in teaching German as a foreign and second language (focus on "intercultural methodology") and have many years of teaching experience. They regularly take part in further training measures. In addition, the quality of the teaching is continuously scientifically accompanied by the Intercultural German Studies department at the University of Bayreuth.
